This is also untrue - often devices don't boot because a USB installer is corrupt, or other BIOS boot settings are wrong. There are a number of statements here you've made that aren't really accurate. Installed to SD card, your machine may not be able to update, but it should still run. You can do so one of two ways:ġ) Remove your internal HDD/SDD, insert your SD card, and then boot from a USB installer and run the standalone installĢ) Use a cmd line install and, very very carefully, target your SD card as the target device. You actually may be able to install to an SD card without issue.
